
Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB) set 999 the task of refreshing the current Glasgow Diary - a popular quarterly ‘What’s on Guide’ to events in the city. The publication had been in existence for over three years and built up a significant reader database but was in need of a facelift.
Our job was to apply the makeover whilst retaining the vibrant, energetic feel of the original publication. We also had to reflect more strongly the city brand – Glasgow, Scotland with style - to complement the GCMB’s family of print and online material. Inspired use of photography and typography allied to a more exciting colour palette were the key ingredients in the 20pp revamp.
999 enjoys an excellent working relationship with GCMB, a vital tool in positioning Glasgow as one of Europe’s most dynamic and diverse cities, and has gone on to design the festive campaign ‘All Wrapped up’ for the city in 2008.
