A spoonful of sugar… or in this case design, helps the Scottish Medicines Consortium report go down well with its audience. The Consortium is responsible for dispensing the information on research into new drugs and treatments. Their findings and reports are critical to the implementation of new drugs and treatments into mainstream healthcare in Scotland.
NHS SMC required a communicative dual purpose piece of literature which details the organisation’s work for the year and displays a list of all new treatments which will be made available to the medical fraternity in the near future. The publication has to appear modern, sharp and clean for this future thinking arm of the NHS. No photography or imagery could be used so a very appealing graphic solution was required.
This year’s annual report, aiming for launch early 2009 will be the sixth 999 has produced for NHS SMC.
