The new M74 extension linking it to the M8 Motorway has made South Lanarkshire a prime site for Business and Government Agency relocation. With several completed and ongoing development sites and purpose built office and factory space premises to let, South Lanarkshire Council required a marketing, report style document and strategy to promote the area as a viable and attractive place to work and live.
The brief was to create a marketing document and strategy to promote the area serviced by the new M74 extension as a viable and attractive place to relocate large and small businesses.
999 opted for an A3 sized document and the strong headline theme of 'The Ripple Effect' which perfectly demonstrated the scale of the development and benefits which would stem from the new M74 extension and regeneration of the surrounding area. By using large photographic images of natural and architectural landmarks, schools and colleges, housing and people to back up the copy, 999 lightened the impact of the information, giving the document a lighter look and feel.
The document is currently being used as part of South Lanarkshire Council's ongoing work on the M74 extension and area regeneration.
